Beeville Race Weekends

RV rental delivered to a race team at the Texas Mile in Beeville

A base for the weekend at the Texas Mile

Beeville is a long way from anywhere and the lodging in town is thin, which is why so many teams sleep at the event. If you are running a car you are already towing a trailer, carrying spares and running on very little sleep. Towing an RV as well is one thing too many.

We deliver the RV from our lot in Spring straight to the paddock or the camping area, level it, connect it and leave it ready. Your rig stays behind the car where it belongs. When the weekend is over we come back and collect it.

Why teams book one

A standing mile weekend is early mornings, long waits between runs and heat coming off the tarmac. Having a coach on site means somewhere with air conditioning to sit between passes, a fridge that keeps food properly, a bathroom that is not a queue and a real bed for the driver before the next morning.

It also gives the crew somewhere to work out of. Data, laptops, a table and shade go a long way over two days.

Spectators and families book them for the same reasons. Beeville has very little in the way of hotels and the drive back to Corpus Christi or San Antonio at the end of a long day is not a small one.

Getting the RV to Beeville

Beeville is roughly 250 miles from our lot in Spring. Delivery is $350 for the first 25 miles and $10 per mile after that, which puts a Beeville run at around $2,600 for the delivery and the collection together. We confirm the exact figure on your quote before you book.

The mileage is measured one way, but it covers four one way trips. We drive out to you, back to the lot, out again at the end of your rental and back once more. Fuel is billed separately at the end of the rental.

For a run this far we plan the delivery window with you carefully, because tech inspection and the drivers meeting do not wait.

Your camping or paddock spot comes first

The event organisers control access to the grounds, the paddock and the camping areas, and they issue the credentials. Securing your spot and your passes is your job and it needs to happen before you book the RV, because there is nowhere for us to put it otherwise.

Once you have the confirmation, send us the spot, the gate and the hours you are allowed in and we work to it. You need to be there when we arrive, because credentialed grounds admit the named holder and a driver arriving alone with a coach will be turned back. The handover takes about half an hour.

What to book

Teams usually take a Class C or a bunkhouse trailer, which sleeps the driver and a couple of crew and still leaves a table to work at. Larger operations and families running a spectator weekend take a Class A.

Every rental includes 4 hours of generator use per rental day, which is the figure that matters at an airfield with no hookups, and 200 miles per rental day.

Nightly rates are on the reservation page, and the deposit, insurance and cleaning figures are on the rates page.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does delivery to Beeville cost?

Delivery is $350 for the first 25 miles from our lot in Spring and $10 per mile after that. Beeville is roughly 250 miles away, which comes to about $2,600 for the delivery and the collection together. The nightly rental is priced separately and the exact total is on your quote before you book.

Can you deliver into the paddock?

If your credentials allow a coach in the paddock, yes. If they do not, we deliver to the camping area instead. Tell us which and we plan the arrival around the gate hours.

Do you sort out my event entry or camping pass?

No. The event organisers handle entries, credentials and camping and you secure yours first. We deliver to a confirmed spot.

There is no power out there. Will the RV run all weekend?

Yes, on the generator. The rental includes 4 hours per rental day and extra hours are billed at the published rate. If you expect to run air conditioning through the afternoon, say so when you book and we will be straight with you about what that costs.

Do I need to be there when the RV arrives?

Yes. Credentialed grounds admit the named holder, so someone from your team has to meet us at the spot. You also get the walkthrough before the first night.
