LSU Game Days
Tailgating in Baton Rouge
An RV waiting in Baton Rouge for a Saturday night in Tiger Stadium
A night game at LSU is not a day trip from Texas. Kickoff is late, the stadium empties past midnight and the drive back to Houston afterwards is the worst part of an otherwise very good weekend. The people who do it properly stay the night, and the tailgating lots around campus are where they stay.
We deliver the RV from our lot in Spring to your spot in Baton Rouge, level it, connect it and hand it over. You arrive with the food and the coolers. When the weekend is done we come back and collect it, which means no one in your group tows a coach across two states.
Why it is worth doing this way
Baton Rouge hotel rooms on a home game weekend are expensive when they exist at all, and they put you a shuttle ride away from the part of the day people actually come for. A coach parked in the lots puts you in the middle of it, with air conditioning, a bathroom and a bed you can walk to at one in the morning.
It also solves the Sunday problem. You wake up, we collect the RV, and you drive home in your own car in daylight instead of at two in the morning.
Getting the RV to Baton Rouge
Baton Rouge is roughly 290 miles from our lot in Spring. Delivery is $350 for the first 25 miles and $10 per mile after that, which puts a Baton Rouge run at around $3,000 for the delivery and the collection together. The exact figure is on your quote before you book.
The mileage is measured one way, but it pays for four one way trips. We drive out to you, back to the lot, out again at the end of your rental and back once more. Fuel is billed separately at the end of the rental.
Louisiana is a regular run for us. Crossing the state line is not an obstacle and it does not change how the rental works, though for a trip this length we plan the arrival window with you carefully.
Your tailgate spot comes first
LSU runs its own RV parking and tailgating for home games, with its own passes and arrival schedule, and the private lots around campus take the rest. Those spots are spoken for early. Securing yours is your job and it has to happen before you book the RV, because we deliver to a confirmed spot and nothing else.
Once you have it, send us the lot, the spot and the hours you are allowed in. Most game weekend lots open the day before on a published schedule and we work to that.
You need to be there when we arrive. The lots admit the named pass holder, and a driver turning up with a coach and no resident gets stopped. Meeting us also gets you the walkthrough, which takes about half an hour.
What to book for an LSU weekend
Most groups making the drive from Texas take a Class A or a larger Class C, because you are usually two nights in and splitting the cost across several adults. Bunkhouse trailers work well for families.
Every rental includes 4 hours of generator use per rental day, which matters through a Louisiana afternoon, and 200 miles per rental day that a parked coach will not touch.
Nightly rates are on the reservation page, and the deposit, insurance and cleaning figures are on the rates page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you really deliver from Houston to Baton Rouge?
Yes. We deliver anywhere in the United States as long as the trip is paid for, and Louisiana is a run we make regularly. The 25 mile minimum on our delivery pricing is the smallest charge, not the furthest we travel.
How much does delivery to Baton Rouge cost?
Delivery is $350 for the first 25 miles from our lot in Spring and $10 per mile after that. Baton Rouge is roughly 290 miles away, which comes to about $3,000 for the delivery and the collection together. The nightly rental is separate and we quote the exact total before you book.
Do you get the tailgate spot for me?
No. LSU and the private lots around campus handle their own RV parking and you secure yours first. We deliver to a confirmed spot.
Do I have to be there at delivery?
Yes. The lots admit the named pass holder, so someone from your group needs to meet us. You also get the systems walkthrough before your first night.
How early should I book for a big home game?
Early. For the marquee fixtures the parking passes go long before kickoff, and a delivery of this distance needs to be scheduled rather than squeezed in. If you have the pass, come to us next.
