Tailgating in College Station
Tailgate at Kyle Field without towing anything to College Station
An Aggie home game is a whole weekend. Midnight Yell on Friday night, a full day of tailgating on Saturday, and a hundred thousand people trying to leave at the same time afterwards. The families who do it best have somewhere of their own to sit down, cool off and sleep.
We deliver the RV from our lot in Spring to your reserved spot in College Station, level it, connect it and hand you the keys. You bring the coolers. On Sunday we come back and collect it, and you drive home in your own car.
Why an RV beats a hotel room on game weekend
College Station hotel rates on a home game weekend are what they are, and the rooms are gone months out for the bigger fixtures. An RV parked in the tailgate lots puts you where the day actually happens instead of shuttling in and out of it.
It also solves the parts of tailgating nobody enjoys. You have a bathroom, a fridge that is not a cooler full of melted ice, shade, air conditioning and somewhere for the kids or the grandparents to sit out the hottest part of the afternoon.
Getting the RV to College Station
Kyle Field is roughly 80 miles from our lot in Spring. Delivery is $350 for the first 25 miles and $10 per mile after that, which puts a College Station run at around $900 for the delivery and the collection together. The exact figure is on your quote before you book.
That mileage is measured one way, but it covers four one way trips. We drive out to you, back to the lot, out again at the end of your rental and back once more. Fuel is billed separately at the end of the rental.
Because we are only an hour and a half away, College Station is one of the easier weekends for us to schedule around a Friday arrival and a Sunday collection.
Your RV parking pass comes first
Texas A&M runs its own RV parking for home games, and passes are allocated well ahead of the season. Nearby campgrounds and private lots take the overflow. Securing that spot is your job and it should be the first thing you do, because there is nowhere for us to put the coach without it.
Once you have the confirmation, send it over with the spot details and the arrival window. Most lots open on a published schedule the day before the game and we work to that.
You need to be at the spot when we arrive. Game day lots admit the named pass holder, so a driver showing up with a coach and no resident does not get through. Meeting us also gets you the walkthrough, which takes about half an hour.
What Aggie families usually book
Bunkhouse trailers and Class C motorhomes do most of the work here, because game weekends are usually two nights with kids or extended family involved. Groups splitting the cost across several adults tend to move up to a Class A for the extra seating and the bigger awning.
Every rental includes 4 hours of generator use per rental day, which is what you want for a September kickoff, and 200 miles per rental day that a parked coach will not touch.
Nightly rates are on the reservation page and the deposit, insurance and cleaning figures are on the rates page.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to have an RV delivered to College Station?
Delivery is $350 for the first 25 miles from our lot in Spring and $10 per mile after that. Kyle Field is roughly 80 miles away, which comes to about $900 for the delivery and the collection together. The nightly rental is priced on top of that and we quote the exact total before you book.
Do you arrange the tailgate spot?
No. Texas A&M and the surrounding lots handle their own RV parking passes and you secure yours first. We deliver to a confirmed spot.
Do I have to be there at delivery?
Yes. Game day lots admit the named pass holder, so someone from your group needs to meet us. It also means you get walked through the systems before the first night.
Can we get the RV in place on Friday for Midnight Yell?
Usually yes, if your pass allows a Friday arrival. Tell us the window the lot opens and we plan the delivery around it.
What happens to the RV during the game?
It stays locked at your spot and it is there when you walk back after the fourth quarter, which is the whole point. You do not have to move it, and you are not sitting in the exit traffic to get to it.
