• The nightly rate for the RV itself.
• Required charges such as cleaning and restocking.
• Optional add ons such as insurance, delivery, extra miles and extra generator hours.
• A refundable security deposit held before your trip begins.

What drives the nightly rate

Nightly rates vary by unit, so the fleet listings are always the accurate source. Four things move the number more than anything else.

• Class and size. A Class C that sleeps six sits at the affordable end. A Class A gas coach costs more. A diesel pusher or a tag axle bus sits at the top.
• Age and specification. Newer coaches with bunk rooms, residential fridges and washer dryer units carry a premium.
• Season. Spring break, summer weekends, Thanksgiving and Christmas are the busiest windows out of Houston. Shoulder weeks in late January, September and early November are noticeably cheaper.
• Trip length. Longer bookings spread the flat fees across more nights, which lowers your true cost per night.

Cleaning, restocking and sanitation

A flat fee per rental so you never have to detail the coach before you bring it back. It runs $100 for a Class C, $125 for a Class A gas, $150 for a Class A gas bunk model, $150 for a Ford Super C, and $300 for a Freightliner chassis Super C, a diesel pusher or a toy hauler.

Insurance

Coverage through our third party provider runs $50 to $200 per day depending on the value of the RV. You can remove it up to 24 hours before departure if you carry your own policy, as long as you tell our staff in advance so we can verify the coverage before pickup.

Extra miles

Beyond the 200 included miles per day, extra miles are $0.75 each. Prepay them and they drop to $0.50 each.

Extra generator hours

Beyond the 4 included hours per day, extra hours are $5 each. Prepay and they drop to $3 each.

Propane and sewer

Return the RV with propane unfilled and it is $50. Leave the sewer for us and it is $50. Both are avoidable with a stop on the way home, and we hand you a list of nearby locations for each.

Delivery

If you would rather not drive it, delivery is $350 for the first 25 miles from our lot, then $10 per mile after that. Mileage is counted one way but the price covers the round trip, both the drop off and the collection. You pay 30 percent of the rental total at booking and the balance 30 days before your trip. If you book inside 30 days, the full amount is due at booking. Affirm financing is offered at checkout.

A refundable security deposit is charged seven days before the rental begins. It is $1,500 to $2,500 for motorhomes and $750 to $1,000 for trailers, and it is released within about a week of return, less any damages or usage fees.

Say you take a Class C out for three nights to a state park two hours away, roughly 220 miles round trip.

• Nightly rate for three nights, at whatever the unit lists for.
• Cleaning and restocking: $100.
• Insurance: three days at the rate for that coach, or $0 if you bring verified coverage.

• Generator: 12 hours are included, which covers a weekend at a site with hookups.
